Grain bar The Grain Bar hosts regular music events on evenings, unless otherwise stated these events are free entry and have an age limit of 10 years+. 

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 10th-BATTLE OF THE BANDS 1st HEAT-

This year’s Battle of the Bands begins with Henry Wacey, Modern Honesty and Jacob Yeo competing, and the celebrated singer song-writer The Lion and the Wolf playing out the proceedings. Free entry, 8.30pm start.

 

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 11th-ROOTS SESSIONS-Jon Amor and Vicki Burke.

Exceptional musicianship has always with the weekly Roots Sessions. This week the blues takes over with multi award winner Jon Amor, supported by local talented session musician Vicki Burke. Free entry, 8.45pm start.

 

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 17th-BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2nd HEAT-

Static Signals, The Olive Theory Band and Covailant tough it out tonight. For all Battle of the Bands voting sheets will be provided to the public.

A team of selected judges give their opinion also. Free entry. 9pm start.

 

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 18th-ROOTS SESSIONS-

Spoonful-Classic blues rock at the weekly Roots Sessions. Free entry. 8.45pm start.

 

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 20th-OPEN MIC NIGHT

 

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 24th-BATTLE OF THE BANDS 3rd HEAT

Montrose, Tuskens and Conway Official duke it out for the coveted place to win a £1000 cash prize. Free entry. 9pm start.

 

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 25th-ROOTS SESSIONS-

Captain Cactus and the Screaming Harlots-Folk,Country, old school rag time music. Free entry. 8.45pm.

 

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 3rd-BATTLE OF THE BANDS 4th HEAT

The BOTB heats up as Too Much Lipstick, Mannerisms, The Diversions all compete for a place in the grand final. Free entry, 9pm start,

 

WEDNESDAY MARCH 4th-ROOTS SESSIONS-Eva Abraham and Drew Salida

 

FRIDAY MARCH 6th-BATTLE OF THE BANDS 5th HEAT-

The penultimate first round heat Finches Fly, Missart & Glass Foundations all enter the battle in hopes of securing the £1000 cash grand prize. The night also sees the incredible Twin Falls headline the night. Free entry, 8pm start.

 

SUNDAY MARCH 8TH-FROME DUB CLUB-

This month sees Glastonbury’s finest Avalon Roots complete the regular dub set, signalling their recent album launch. Soulful rootsy reggae with jazz-funk thrown in.

 

TUESDAY MARCH 10th-BATTLE OF THE BANDS 6th HEAT

In the final first round heats of BOTB Deaf Horse, Black Forge & Antoinette lay the musical smackdown on each to make it to the grand final. Free entry 9pm start

 

WEDNESDAY MARCH 11th-ROOTS SESSIONS-

Rabi Gabi, from the Czech Republic. A traditional Czech klezmer band making an international stop in little old Frome. Free entry. 8.45pm start.

 

FRIDAY MARCH 13th-FRAT PARTY

Hit Or Miss presents the C&G’s first ever frat party! All drinks will be served in classic american red cups, beer bong & flip cup contests will also be taking place. Free entry 8pm start

Back Before Breakfast

With sounds that remind listeners of Fairport Convention, Pink Floyd if they played folk music and Jethro Tull. Support from acoustic duo Colin Weeks and Laura Driffield.
