Assistant Chef Vacancy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy and enthusiastic kitchen brigade. The successful candidate will have experience as a Chef/Cook and will work closely with our kitchen team to play a key role in maintaining the high standards expected from our Café/Bar. You will be passionate about food and enjoy working with fresh ingredients. You will be able to work well as part of a small team but also have the ability to work on your own initiative when required. You will also need to be flexible with working hours as the Café is open from 8am until 8pm. You should be well organised and have excellent food hygiene and presentation standards.
Holding a relevant food safety qualification would be an advantage.
Your role as an Assistant Chef is to support the Head Chef and maintain the Café’s high standards in their absence. You will ensure high levels of service all within company guidelines, ensuring the operation is always compliant with all statutory requirements e.g. health & safety; food hygiene. Our Café produces home cooked food using local produce where possible and a full range of Menu items from breakfast, brunch, lunch and home-made pizza’s. You may also be required during busy periods to assist in other roles such as washing up, serving food and making drinks.
