Extravaganza Market at the Cheese & Grain
As part of the town’s Christmas Extravaganza on Friday 27th November from 5pm – 9pm, the Cheese & Grain are holding a Christmas market inside the main hall. The market will have an exciting selection of gifts, crafts, jewellery, clothing, produce and so much more, with many stall holders coming from the local area. There will be projections on the front of the Cheese and Grain as part of the exciting theme of this year’s Extravaganza.
As well as the market, the Cheese and Grain will be illuminating their own Christmas lights and with live music and delicious street food available outside, this is a fabulous addition to the Extravaganza.
The Café at the Grain will be providing delicious stews and casseroles as well as a special gingerbread house competition.
There will also be live music in the bar from 9pm with live band Cover Story featuring James Warren formerly in Stackridge, who famously had an album produced by George Martin. He then he went on to form The Korgis and wrote and sang the classic “Everybody’s Got to learn Sometime”, a UK Top 5 hit and Number 1 across Europe.
John Baker was in Graduate with Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith (Tears for Fears), and went on to sing with Tears for fears on Break it Down again in 1993.
John joined James in the Korgis in the eighties and Nineties.
Richard Riley lives in Frome and spends his days doing odd jobs and his evenings playing guitar in Bath and Bristol. An accomplished player and producer, Richard has picked his way from Abbey Road to the Pyramid stage performing with national and local bands and artists.
Great harmonies and Classic Covers from the likes of Simon and Garfunkel, Spencer Davis, , Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Crowded House, Kool and The Gang, Doobie Brothers, The Four Season’s and The Beatles to name a few.
So on Friday 27th November from 5pm till late, head over to the Cheese & Grain and enjoy all that’s to offer as part of the Extravaganza.
