One of the most revered silent comedies, Buster Keaton’s The General brings together a boy, a girl and a train amid the maelstrom of the US Civil War in a warm, action-packed film. Returning for an annual highlight of the Frome Festival programme, organist David Bednall, one of Europe’s finest improvisers, will provide the musical accompaniment for a late-night screening of this cinematic masterpiece.

Please note – the film for this screening has changed from Charlie Chaplin in The Gold Rush, as originally listed in the Frome Festival brochure. All other event details remain the same. Ticket holders who booked for The Gold Rush have been automatically transferred to this new event, or can request a refund as desired.

Venue

Trinity Church , Trinity Street , Frome, , BA11 3DE
