Legendary reggae DJ/broadcaster David Rodigan MBE returns to Frome alongside heavyweight reggae dub bass collective Mungos Hi Fi ft. special guest host Eva Lazarus for an absolutely huge triple threat lineup of reggae, dub , ska, jungle & drum n bass. Presented by Gorilla Tactics. 

 

For over 40 years, David Rodigan MBE has been the top dog in the bass-heavy atmosphere of Britain’s reggae dancehalls. He plays his unique collection of customised dub plates across the globe from New York to Tokyo, Berlin to Kingston Jamaica to loyal reggae fans of all ages. Also known for forming the collective REBEL SOUND alongside Chase & Status and Shy FX, his work with the Outlook Orchestra, and his ever popular BBC 1XTRA weekly radio show.

 

Mungo’s Hi Fi are a collective based in Glasgow, Scotland, producing and playing music which blends Jamaican influence with contemporary bass music, resulting in a unique take on Ska, Reggae, Dancehall and Dubstep that has made them firm favourites in the underground music scene around the world. They have made music with Jamaican legends such as Johnny Osbourne, Johnny Clarke and Sugar Minott as well as working regularly in the studio and on stage with contemporary vocalists Eva Lazarus, Charlie P, YT, Solo Banton, Marina P and Mr Williamz. Highly collaborative, they’ve worked on remix projects with Leftfield, Coldcut, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Prince Fatty and Major Lazer.

 

Big voice, big bass and big hair is what Singer/MC Eva Lazarus is all about! Her musical flavours span across genres from Reggae to Hip Hop, DnB to Jungle and beyond! Eva Lazarus tirelessly smashed through festival season, including Glastonbury, main stage Outlook, multiple packed shows at BoomTown culminating with an electric show alongside Gentleman’s Dub Club on the Lions Den.
