GENO WASHINGTON & THE RAM JAM BAND
THE KING OF COOL-THE GODFATHER OF SOUL & KING OF R’n’B – THE HIPSTER-THE FLIPSTER – FINGER POPPIN
DADDY HIMSELF !!    …….presents his hand clapping, foot stomping, hip shaking, soul breakin, earth quaking ,
funky butt LIVE SHOW !!
AND WHAT A SHOW!  The full horn section with the Ram Jam Band, led by a true legend of the scene, Geno Washington has been tearing up shows since the 60’s.
Geno still enjoys cult status on the Soul, Blues, RnB and Northern Soul scenes today due to his unsurpassable reputation as a live performer. His magnetic stage presence and his love of performance and life makes him an inspiration and a joy to behold.
A contemporary of Georgie Fame, Alexis Korner and Paul Jones, Geno in the 60’s had Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd as his support bands.
The live set is an up tempo,  kick ass , house rocking, good time  show, performing a blistering party set of sweet soul and dirty blues to make the joint jump.
He released two of the biggest selling albums of the 60’s
with his “Funky but Live” spending 48 weeks in the charts.
Geno has also true pedigree in the blues with three blues album releases, not the kind of blues to get you crying in your beer, but blues to rock the house.
Immortalised by Dexys Midnight Runners with their No 1 hit “Geno”, reflected by Kevin Rowland’s memories of all night Ram Jam Band gigs.
From a humble American GI stationed in the UK to a cult legend…through the years Geno Washington has lost nothing of the live magic for which he has always been renowned. STILL ONE OF THE MOST DYNAMIC PERFORMERS YOU ARE EVER LIKELY TO SEE.
DON’T MISS HIM !!

ZOOT MONEY’S BIG ROLL BAND.

THE BIG TIME OPERATOR – ZOOT MONEY, simply the biggest character in the British RnB scene since the 60’s with his flamboyant front man antics on the keyboards with his legendary Big Roll Band. Luminaries such as Andy Summers and Rod Stewart (also to be seen in the photo outside The Flamingo in London’s Soho), have passed through the band over the years. The Flamingo was the epicenter of the Swinging Sixties.
Originally discovered by the godfather of British Blues, Alexis Korner, Zoot soon joined Korner’s seminal band “Blues Incorporated”. However being a natural leader and front man , Zoot soon established himself with his own band with a combination of outrageous antics, tight musicianship and passionate vocal delivery.
A huge hit “Big Time Operator” soon followed launching Zoot into a separate career in TV drama.
Stints with Eric Burdon  and The Animals in the States, and touring with Humble Pie enhanced his reputation to a new generation of rock fans.
A talented writer and no mean songwriter, he has written for  Jimmy Witherspoon, Lulu, Long John Baldry and Maggie Bell.
He continues to appear worldwide with Spencer Davis, Georgie Fame and Alan Price  still delighting audiences with his crazy antics together with his top notch brand of Rhythm and Blues.

THE CHESS RECORDS BLUES REVUE.

Chess Records is the most famous label in Blues history, creating the Chicago Blues Sound releasing classic recordings by Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Bo Diddley, Little Walter and many more.
English bands such as The Stones, Yardbirds, John Mayall and Manfred Mann copied this style during the Blues Boom of the late 60’s.
The All-Star Band led by Alan Glenn and Peter Miles, featured in The Yardbirds , Nine Below Zero, Charlie Watts Band and Radical Sheiks, and include members who have appeared at the Albert Hall,  Ronnie Scott’s, Wembley Arena and The Last Vegas Hilton.
We have been lucky enough to entice them out of their safe haven of London Clubs to the wilds of Somerset adding to this incredible bill.
“A Dream line up” Paul Jones
“This Band swings, a class act” Blues in Britain
“Knock out blues, a great sound” Charlie Musselwhite.
