Myths have been created and handed down since humans gathered around campfires. While many of the old myths were a way of explaining the cosmos and origins of humanity – most of which have now been superseded by scientific discoveries – others also played a vital part in guiding individuals in their daily lives within the societies in which they belonged.

And this is still true today, according to one of the greatest authorities on the study of myth that has lived: Joseph Campbell.

By using various myths and legends from around the world, this course will look at how their essential qualities can be used to enhance one’s own life journey.
