SP608 – Radical Frome

From the infamous Monmouth Rebellion and the nineteenth century Chartist movement, to religious non-conformity and political dissent, the people of Frome and the surrounding area have never been backward in making their affiliations and feelings known.

This one-off session will look at several individuals, as well as the groups to which they belonged, to build a picture of the radical foundations of this strongly independent town.
