SU601 Celebrated Women of Frome

To coincide with the Frome Museum exhibition of the same name, this five-week course will look in more depth each week at several of the women featured, plus the environment in which they lived.

Women covered in the course will include Frome’s only ever female MP, two internationally known poets, an educational reformer awarded an OBE for her work, and a pioneer photographer whose images shocked the world. The course will be led by David Lassman, a long-time FCE tutor, a local historian and curator of the exhibition.
