SU602 Celebrated Women of Frome

To coincide with the Frome Museum exhibition of the same name, this three-hour session will look in more detail at several of the women being ‘celebrated’. The first part will be classroom based; the second a walk around several of the places associated with the women covered. These include Frome’s only ever female MP, two internationally known poets, an educational reformer awarded an OBE for her work, and a pioneer photographer whose images shocked the world.

The talk and walk will be led by David Lassman, a long-time FCE tutor, a local historian and curator of the exhibition.
