With their signature blend of nu-metal, post-grunge and punk-pop, American rockers Alien Ant Farm come to Frome!
Alien Ant Farm

Nearly a decade after 2014’s Always and Forever, multi-platinum alt-rock heavyweights Alien Ant Farm the band who dominated the early 2000s with era-defining hits like “Movies” and their iconic take on “Smooth Criminal” return with ~mAntras~, a bold reinvention that reasserts their lasting impact on modern rock. Their sixth album arrives not as a comeback, but as a powerful reminder of why they became a global force in the first place.

Forged through years of personal and collective upheaval pandemic delays, producer conflicts, band tensions, and vocalist Dryden Mitchell’s own fight to regain clarity the album is the product of a band that has survived every test fame and life could throw at them. Their 2020 release of the Wham! cover “Everything She Wants” hinted at new momentum, but the reset that followed ultimately became the catalyst for their strongest work in years.

~mAntras~ distills everything Alien Ant Farm have lived through since their explosive rise: massive success, devastating setbacks, family struggles, illness, breakups, bus wrecks, literal and figurative scars. All of it fuels 11 tracks that pulse with confidence and artistic freedom. Older, wiser, and no longer concerned with industry expectations, the band self-produced most of the album at drummer Mike Cosgrove’s home studio, tapping into a chemistry only decades of brotherhood can create.

Musically, the album is rich with the band’s trademark hooks while pushing deeper into prog-leaning experimentation. From the hypnotic opener “The Wrong Things” and the visceral “Last dAntz” to the infectious self-reckoning of “So Cold” and the reggae-tinged “What Am I Doing?”, the record acts as a set of personal mantras raw, spiritual, and unmistakably Alien Ant Farm. The title track even stitches together pieces of roughly 20 classic AAF songs into a three-minute, career-spanning homage that brought Mitchell to tears while recording it.

After nearly three decades, the band stands revitalized. ~mAntras~ isn’t just a new chapter it’s a declaration that Alien Ant Farm remain a powerful, evolving, creatively fearless presence in rock. “We’re firing on all four pistons,” says guitarist Terry Corso. “Everybody’s motivated, happy, and ready to put this music out.”
