Frome Voices, Frome’s largest community choir is delighted to return to the Cheese and Grain on Sunday 22nd March 2026 with a full evening of enticing choral and orchestral music, enhanced by professional soloists. This year’s performance will include Carl Orff’s popular choral work, Carmina Burana, based on a collection of 13th century songs and poems. In addition, Musical Director Alan Burgess will lead the choir through Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music, written in1938 to celebrate Sir Henry Wood’s 50 years as a conductor. The concert will also include a performance of 20th century English composer Gerald Finzi’s clarinet concerto, with orchestral accompaniment. It is reckoned to be one of the finest pieces written for the clarinet. The performance begins at 7.00pm.
