Our Cafe-Bar is under new management and has been refurbished September 2016.

We have a selection of homemade cakes, fresh salads & sharing platters available daily.

Special boards updated regularly.

The cafe is open daily 9am – 9:30pm


The bar stocks an exciting range of craft ales, wines and spirits, including a fabulous choice in gins!

February 8th – Vicki Burke’s Sutura launches a new album

Celebrating the launching of the new album “Keys to the Golden City”. An eclectic mix of folk

and jazz with soulful songs and funky grooves that promises to send you on a journey which

will lift your spirits and warm your heart.


February 15th –   Clayton Denwood and Band

Singer-songwriter and first-rate musician, and a band of top-flight players, with a unique sound and

sensibility..The music mines a deep vibe that draws in and draws upon everything from straight

up blues to bright folk-rock to brooding jazz riffs in a Van Morrison mode.”


February 22nd – Velvet and Stone + Julian Hight aka Bugs 

Alternative/ indie folk group, who combine rich vocals, acoustic guitar and soaring violin. The trio

provide an original take on a traditional genre, drawing upon personal stories, melancholy West

Country tales and landscapes. Well known Julian (Bugs) Hight performing songs from his new

album, Independent State of Mind.


March 1st –  Emma Ballantine + Ian O’Regan 

Rapidly gaining recognition for powerful songwriting and a ‘shapeshifting vocal gift’ (Gigslutz). A

finalist in the UK Unsigned Songwriter of the Year competition, her music has been played by

BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing, Resonance FM  says, “a unique voice among

modern songwriters”. Ian O’Regan is an Irish multi-instrumentalist singer, songwriter, and producer,

with over 30 years experience of rock, blues, folk and country music.


March 8th – Adam Norsworhy

Singer, guitarist and multi–instrumentalist, with an expressive  voice that perfectly complements his

startlingly personal songwriting; open, honest and raw, but always floating on an unforgettable melody

and peerless musicianship. In an age of reality ‘stars’ and ever-more manufactured singers, Adam is the

real deal.


March 15th –  Captain Cactus & the Screaming Harlots

Frome-based outfit who play a whirlwind of messed up, swampy folk blues Americana groove with

harmonies. Come sweat & sway to tales of whiskey, murder & love, it is high octane fun & party music.




Sat 21st Jan  8pm – 11pm Frat Party – End of the World Party!

To celebrate/commiserate the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States Hit or Miss are delighted to be bringing back their ever popular Frat Party! A night of red cups, beer pong, flip cup & American style frat party action. The music will be a mix of America’s finest offerings. Think old school hip hop.

Friday 3rd Feb 8pm – 11pm Brightr plus Very Special Guests

As Brightr, Laurie Cottingham makes a brand of acoustic twinkle-infused heartfelt music that he describes as ’emo pop’. Having played first ever show in the Grain Cafe Bar, Brightr returns to his musical birthplace. Having taken on touring all over the world including a slot at the legendary “The Fest” in America supporting The Front Bottoms in Europe and a festival stealing set at All Roads Leads to Frome, this is a must see free entry show!
