410 – Softcover Bookbinding Workshop

Join printmaker and bookbinder, Jen Louise Meyer, for a softcover bookbinding workshop.

During this workshop, participants will learn the skills to make A6 sketchbooks using the Coptic binding method, the oldest binding technique. All materials and tools will be supplied, including a selection of Jen’s original lino prints to choose from for book covers. Participants will have the opportunity to make more than one book if time allows.

Jen will also talk about how to book bind at home without investing in a lot of equipment and, for those interested in continuing bookbinding on a regular basis, Jen will provide an introduction to the specialist tools she uses.

This workshop is for adults. No previous bookbinding or art experience necessary, just an interest in learning.
