807 – Traditional Craft in Somerset

Hunting Raven presents ‘Traditional Craft in Somerset’, a talk with images and artefacts by artist Kate Lynch, who travelled around Somerset documenting 30 traditional artisans in paintings, drawings and interviews for her new book ‘Craft – Somerset Portraits and Voices’. It features the makers of bee skeps, bell ropes, brushes, baskets, sieves and riddles, blacksmiths, farriers, horsehair weavers, handmade paper mill powered by a waterwheel and more. Kate is joined by stonemasons Andrew Ziminski and Kate Semple, and brushmaker Jonny Tapp who tell their own stories. Complimentary glass of wine
