We are delighted to announce England internationals, football icons and current Sky Sports Soccer Saturday pundits Paul Merson & Matt Le Tissier will be presenting a special “An Evening With…” at The Cheese & Grain.

The night will feature a candid interview with the pair and then be opened up to Q&A from the audience. With the country still recovering from Euro 2020 fever, the new league season being underway by the time of this event and World Cup 2022 just around the corner this is a rare chance to catch up with two of the countries favourite pundits at a time where there has never been so much football to discuss.

VIP tickets include a meet and greet with both Matt Le Teissier and Paul Merson, as well well as a seat in one of the front rows.

Dubbed “Le God” by his beloved Saints fans Le Tissier has to be regarded as one of if not the most underrated Premier League player ever. Le Tissier spent his entire professional career at Southampton. “Le God” is the second highest goal scorer in the club’s history and the scorer of some of the primer leagues greatest goals. Matt has an unbelievable record of scoring 47 penalties from 48 attempts.

Le Tissier won the PFA young player of the year in 1990, named in the Premier League team of the season for 94/95, twice awarded the Premier League player of the month, three times awarded Premier League goal of the month and once awarded the Premier League goal of the season. He was inducted into the English football hall of fame in 2013.

One of English football great personalities, it’s easy to forget what an incredible player Paul Merson was. Mainly known for his time as an Arsenal player, Merson played 423 times for the Gunners and scored 99 goals in all competitions.He also played for the likes of Aston Villa, Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and for England at Euro 92 and World Cup 98.

Merson twice won the English First Division (prior to the Premier League) as a Gunner also winning the FA Cup, League Cup, European Cup Winners Cup, English First Division (with Portsmouth) and UEFA Intertoto Cup (with Aston Villa). Paul Merson was named the PFA young player of the year in 1989 and Premier League player of the month in February 2000.
