Jane Austen and Bath are intrinsically linked. Although it is said that she did not like the city, it played a key part in her development as an author. As well as setting two of her novels there, she was a resident between 1801 and 1806.
This course will explore the relationship between author and city and dispel many myths that have grown around this most formative period of her life.
The tutor David Lassman is a former director of the International Jane Austen Festival held in Bath.
