South West party/promotion/DJ collective GORILLA TACTICS return to The Cheese & Grain for their Autumn run of events this year.  Fresh off their summer festival tour including running stages / headline DJ sets at Shangri-La/Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair and more, they bring some of their favourite acts back with them for this run of shows.
Friday 20th December is this years date for the annual Gorilla Tactics Christmas party. This years extravaganza includes explosive live act/festival regulars DUB PISTOLS, legendary party DJs STANTON WARRIORS alongside support slots from the Gorilla Tactics crew and more guests TBA.
This is always a busy night so advance booking is highly recommended.
A rampant mix of dub, reggae, ska, punk, breaks, beats and drum ‘n’ bass. The band’s reputation as an explosive live act has seen them turn into super tight festival regulars, with the Dub Pistols headlining some of the biggest festivals in Europe including
Glastonbury, Bestival and BeatHerder.. Their bass driven live machine has seen them win numerous plaudits along the way and recent live guests have included vocalists Rodney P, The Specials ’Terry Hall and Neville Staple, rap wünderkid T.K., Sugardaddy horn-blower Tim Hutton & scratch maestro,DJ Stix
Since bursting onto the scene in 2001 with their multi award-winning compilation ‘The Stanton Sessions’, the Stanton Warriors irresistible and inimitable sound has consistently remained the soundtrack to some of the world’s biggest and best parties; from East London warehouses, Miami boat parties and illegal Detroit raves, to smashing up the stages of Coachella, Glastonbury, Burning Man and Ultra, and selling out global tours.
In the studio, Bristol’s Mark Yardley and Dominic Butler have honed a trademark sound that is at once all their own, but also utterly indefinable, leading to high-profile releases on XL Recordings, Fabric, Cheap Thrills, Central Station and Universal, alongside official remixes for everyone from Daft Punk and Fatboy Slim, to MIA, Gorillaz and Danny Byrd. This phenomenal output and remarkable longevity have ensured the Stanton Warriors legendary status amongst not only their fans, but also their peers, as they remain fresh, original and relevant, obstinately dancing to the beat of their own drum, helping to pave the way for new talent, proudly ploughing their own genre for twenty years and as the new album title points to, still continuing to rise.
