Orbital

ORBITAL – THE OTHER TOUR 2027

Pioneers of British electronic music, Orbital return in 2027 with a brand-new studio album, Other, and an extensive UK and European tour.

One of the most influential acts in the history of electronic music, brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll have spent more than 35 years redefining what dance music can be. From their breakthrough 1990 hit Chime to timeless classics including Belfast, Halcyon + On + On and The Box, Orbital have created a remarkable catalogue of groundbreaking electronic music, blending euphoric rave anthems with ambient soundscapes, cinematic arrangements and experimental sounds.

Instrumental in taking electronic music from underground rave culture to the world’s biggest festival stages, Orbital revolutionised the possibilities of live dance music. Their legendary 1994 Glastonbury performance is widely regarded as one of the greatest festival sets of all time, helping establish electronic acts as major live attractions. Their extraordinary career has also seen them compose film soundtracks, collaborate with an eclectic range of artists and even perform alongside Professor Stephen Hawking at the London 2012 Paralympics.

2027 marks an exciting new chapter as Orbital release their 11th studio album, Other, on 19th March via London Records. Exploring themes of identity, neurodiversity, outsiders and the freedom to exist beyond society’s expectations, the album is among their most ambitious to date, incorporating elements of gothic folk, drum & bass, punk and ambient music alongside their unmistakable electronic sound.

The album’s striking first single, Mother, Maiden & Crone, features award-winning actor Maxine Peake, combining haunting gothic synthesisers with séance-like vocals inspired by witchcraft and folklore.

Other follows the acclaimed 2023 album Optical Delusion, which reached No. 6 in the UK Albums Chart and topped the Official Dance Albums Chart. The duo have continued their remarkable chart success with No. 1 Dance Albums for the reissue of their debut Green Album in 2024 and the official release of their historic Glastonbury 1994 performance in 2026.

Renowned for their electrifying live performances, hypnotic visuals and unmistakable illuminated glasses, Orbital remain one of electronic music’s most compelling live acts. Combining decades of pioneering music with bold new material, The Other Tour promises a celebration of one of Britain’s most innovative and enduring electronic acts.
